17 weeks (Baby #2)

How far along? 17 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: -6 lbs

Maternity clothes? Only a few tops, when I feel like it. I can still wear my regular pants and most of my shirts.

Stretch marks? nope

Sleep: Decent

Best moment this week: Our date night last Friday! Little Man spent the night with Pawpaw and Nana for the first time, and we went to dinner and to play putt-putt for our first actual date since before he was born!

Movement: not yet

Food cravings: Well today it is a Sonic Dr. Pepper. I haven’t had any regular cravings though. Occasionally something just sounds really good.

Gender: Pretty sure girl

Labor Signs: nope

Belly Button in or out? still in

What I miss: Not needing a nap nearly everyday. That has nothing to do with pregnancy though. I needed naps pre-preg. just from chasing my kiddo!

What I am looking forward to: Our ultrasound in September!

Weekly Wisdom: Have kids when you’re young. I can’t imagine being 40 and crawling around the house on my hands and knees, playing with a baby. It’s hard work now.

Baby’s Development:

“Your baby’s skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord ā€” her lifeline to the placenta ā€” is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she’s around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.” – babycenter.com

“Baby’s skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints.” – thebump.com
